About the Journal
The Journal of Oriental Languages (JOL) is an official, peer-reviewed biannual research Journal of the College of Languages, Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF). The journal aims to promote scholarly research in the fields of classical and modern Oriental languages, including but not limited to Urdu, Persian, Arabic, Turkish, Chinese, and other Eastern languages and literatures.
The primary objective of JOL is to provide a credible academic platform for researchers, scholars, linguists, and literary critics from Pakistan and across the globe, encouraging them to contribute their original research in various domains such as linguistics, literature, translation studies, philology, cultural studies, and comparative literature. The journal seeks to fill the research gap in language and literary studies by upholding high academic and publication standards in accordance with the guidelines prescribed by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan.
All submissions to the journal undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the authenticity, originality, and quality of the research. The journal is managed by a diverse and distinguished Editorial Board, Advisory Board, and Review Board consisting of renowned national and international scholars.
JOL is committed to the international standards of academic publishing, including proper indexing, abstracting, and archiving practices. Researchers, academicians, and practitioners working in the relevant fields are invited to submit their full-length research papers for consideration and publication in this journal.
